Hello December! Today we watched the film version of chapters 2-4, and then discussed narrative shifts and the narrative structure of the novel, especially chapter 4 (see slides 5-9). Homework over the weekend is to read chapter 5 in The Great Gatsby.

Today we looked at Ernest Hemingway compared to F. Scott Fitzgerald. I gave you backgroun on Hemingway (slides 2-10), we critically read "Three Shots", and then wrote our own 6 Word Story (slides 8-11). Homework is to finish the 6 Word Story, and read chapter 4 in The Great Gatsby.
