Today we continued looking at Transcendentalism by reading "Self-Reliance" and "Civil Disobedience" and working on individual questions (slides 20-21), in order to prepare for propaganda work tomorrow.
Homework: finis the two readings and questions for tomorrow. Today we looked at Transcendentalism by taking notes on Transcendentalism (slides 1-18), and had time to reading and analyzing "Nature", and then had 30 minutes to work on homework.
Homework: please finish "Self-Reliance" and "Civil Disobedience" and the questions, for Thursday (most of you finished during work time today) Poe Project gallery walk (note sheet). If you were absent, please get notes from a classmate. No homework.
Today we started Dark Romanticism and took notes (slides 1-13), analyzed "The Tell-Tale Heart" (slides 14-16), talked about Tim Burton (slides 17-20). We then started working on the Poe Project (slides 21-25).

Today we started our -Isms Unit by taking notes on Rationalists (slides 1-9), analyzed Thomas Paine's Common Sense (slide 10), then looked at Benjamin Franklin's 13 Virtues, and created our own (slides 11-16).
