Today we had Book Club 4, and spent some time brainstorming for the assessment on June 12 (slides 22-25). Make sure you work on your reflection tonight!
Homework: please read "The American Tradition of Multiculturalism" and answer the questions for tomorrow. Today you wrote the essay, and MUST submit by the end of class to turnitn.com. Tomorrow is Book Club 4, so make sure you read to page 205 and finish your job sheets.

Homework: take some time to do something fun, non-school related this weekend. This time of year is stressful, so practice self-care! Today we shared our understandings of the readings from Tuesday, I went over the Spring Analysis Essay (slides 1-6), and then you had time to read "What They Carried" (information on slides 29-31).

Today we had book club 3. We shared our reflections, and then answered questions as a group.
Homework: finish readings from Tuesday, and bring in notes tomorrow. Today we shared our feminism research, and then we had time to read. You need to read: "How to Watch Your Brother Die", "Legitimization through Disaster: AIDS and the Gay Movement", and "The Evolution of Divorce", (slides 24-28). This all needs to be read by May 16th.
Homework:Tomorrow is book club 3, so don't forget to finish your job sheets and read to page 163. Today we took brief notes on Feminism (slides 15-20), then completed a reading by Gloria Steinem (slides 21-22 for more details). Please make sure you answer the questions at the end of the reading, and bring them to class tomorrow.
