Today did Huck Finn chapter 6-7 presentations, and then we read and analyzed the poetry of Emily Dickinson (slides 11-15). Your group has to read the assigned poem, then create the illustration outlined on slides 13-14. You will have time to finish tomorrow if needed. Homework is to read chapters 8-9 in Huck Finn for tomorrow.
Today I introduced the Huck Finn chapter presentations (slides 3-10). I have done chapters 1-5 for you, but partner pairs will start presenting chapters tomorrow. Please see the Huck Finn tab for the schedule of when you are presenting and what chapters you are presenting. We then critically read Mark Twain's Corn-Pone Opinions, answered some group questions (slide 4), and then discussed as a class. Homework is to read chapters 6-7 in Huck Finn for tomorrow.
Today we collected homework packets, took some initial notes on Huck Finn (slides 1-30) using the note taking sheet, and then had some reading time.
