Today I did chapter 1-3 presentations. We then read and analyzed The Sneetches (slides 8-10...please make sure you do the reflection on slide 10). Homework is to read chapters 4-5 for tomorrow.

Today we discussed the two Jim Crow laws articles. I then gave you a group assignment, to create a lesson plan for Jim Crow laws (slides 6-8). Here is a lesson plan outline and a lesson plan example (very in-depth) you can use to start the assignment. These are due Friday either emailed or a hard copy.
Homework for Thursday (due Monday): read "The Lottery" by Shirley Jackson and be prepared to talk about the story in class. |
