Today we started our research on Washington serial killers. We will be presenting these on Monday, and then having a class discussion on Tuesday around the idea of Washington breeding serial killers.
Today we learned about the Century 21 Expo in Seattle by reading a background essay, viewing photographs, and then writing a brief reflection (last slide).
Today we had current events, shared our Japanese Internment Poems, and then I lectured on Boeing and Microsoft. No homework!
Work period for the Japanese Internment Found Poem (slides 31-32). These are due by Wednesday on turnitin.com.
I introduced the Found Poem assignment (work time Monday and Tuesday, slides 21-32), and then we started watching the documentary Rabbit in the Moon about Japanese internment.
Today had current event presentations, and then we started looking at Japanese internment in Seattle by taking some notes/analyzing photographs and quotes (slides 13-29). You also did a short reading from Nisei Daughter. No homework.
Today we worked on the Hoovervilles photo essay (slides 11-12). These are due by the end of class in the public folder: Woldendorp: NW Studies photo essay. If you needed more time, the expectation is that you email me the photo essay by 10pm so I can upload it for you.

Today was our founding of Seattle timed write assessment. Make-ups are next Wednesday morning, in my office, room 2410K. No homework over the Thanksgiving break. Have fun with your families and friends!
